Sexyy Red announces In Sexyy We Trust for Memorial Day weekend, continuing her campaign to #MakeAmericaSexyyAgain. This EP serves her second official body of work and will be released on May 24th via Open Shift/gamma.
This week, Sexyy Red earned five nominations at the 2024 BET Awards. Sexyy earned solo nominations for Best Female Hip Hop Artist and Best New Artist, and earned three more nods for her contributions to Drake's "Rich Baby Daddy" ft. In Sexyy We Trust arrives during an incredibly busy time for Sexyy Red. Soon after giving birth to her second child in February, an event Drake immortalized in his "Rich Baby Daddy" video, the 26-year-old commandeered headlines with her electric performance at Rolling Loud California 2024, where she handed out free hot pink "Make America Sexyy Again" trucker hats to her constituents.
In March, Sexyy took over airwaves, timelines, and headlines with her highest- charting solo single, "Get It Sexyy." The nostalgic music video has been lauded as a genius re-creation of early 2000s Southern hip-hop culture, transporting fans to a vivid throwback roller rink scene, complete with cameos from a who's who list of A-listers that only Sexyy could command all at once; Soulja Boy, Drake, Adin Ross, Trippie Redd, Rob409, Tay Keith, Fabo and more. With over 7 million views and 500k sales to date, it's no wonder why Sexyy is among the most talked-about rappers of her generation.
Sexyy's recent catapult to fame is a testament to her hard work, persistence, and unwavering belief in herself.
